Ramen noodles isnt so bad really. I prefer mine with either spinach or peas, some rice vinegar, sriracha, soy, onion, and none of the packaging.
Malcom Gladwell has absolutely no idea of the difference between actual human tendencies in perception and decision making and "free market" normative statements made by economists about to explain "the world." The problem is this is freaking dangerous. Gladwell is as intelligent and naturally curious as main stream essayists/reporters get but his thought is only so elastic. All of his books/ articles have one basic premise. The "market" and the business community is the place to find human "nature." In some sense this is true but he cannot comprehend the possibility that "nature" can have other outlets than what his books (constantly marketed to management class folks as almost self help- be a better salesman- faire) generally focus on.
